Come listen to Meta Scientist and Cannery Row Rotary club member, Okke Schrijvers, provide “Vignettes of the Tech Industry”.
Technology is playing an ever-larger role in our lives, and with the advent of AI applications like ChatGPT this trend is bound to continue or even accelerate. Okke has spent the last decade in Silicon Valley at some of the largest tech companies and research institutes. In this talk he'll spend about 10 minutes covering the current explosion in AI developments and how this is already starting to impact our lives (even in ways we don't realize). For the remainder of the time, he's happy to take questions both about AI advances and the tech industry at large. So think about what you've always wanted to know about the tech industry, and come prepared with a question or two!
